PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulase production method which makes it possible to efficiently produce cellulase.SOLUTION: This invention provides a cellulase production method which produces cellulase using Bacillus subtilis in which a recA gene or a gene corresponding to the gene is deleted or inactivated. In the cellulase production method, a gene encoding heterologous cellulase is introduced into the bacillus subtilis, and the bacillus subtilis is made to produce heterologous cellulase. In the cellulase production method, the bacillus subtilis is the bacillus subtilis obtained by the process in which a recA gene or a gene corresponding to the gene is deleted or inactivated for the bacillus subtilis having cellulase production ability. |
