<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device where a generated eddy contributes to deaggregation of powder in a cavity and emptying of the powder from the cavity.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a device for inhalation of at least one air stream carrying a dose of medicament powder 2. The device includes a flow passage 4 passing a powder-containing cavity 5. A part of the flow passage 4 propagates along a flat surface region 7. The flat surface region 7 includes a cavity opening 20 into the powder-containing cavity 5. Passing of an air stream along the flat surface region 7 and the outside of the cavity 5 generates an eddy in the cavity 5 and the generated eddy contributes to deaggregation of the powder 2 in the cavity 5 and emptying of the powder 2 from the cavity 5. Also disclosed are use of a shear cavity principle in such a device and a method of releasing the medicament powder 2.</p> |
