The invention relates to methods for the oxidative dying of keratin fibers, in which a cosmetic means (A) is applied to the fibers and allowed to act for a period of 30 seconds to 30 minutes. Then a cosmetic means (B) is applied to the keratin fibers to which means (A) is still applied, and both means (A) and (B) are allowed to act for a period of 5 to 45 minutes, whereupon means (A) and (B) are rinsed out. Said methods allow for lively and natural multi-tonal dyes having "highlights" or "lowlights" if the means (A) (a1) comprises one or more oxidation color pre-products of the developer type, (a2) no oxidation color pre-product of the coupling type, (a3) a pH value of 8.0 to 12.0 and means (B) (b1) comprises one or more oxidation color pre-products, (b2) one or more oxidation means and (b) a pH value of 8.0 to 12.0. |
