The arrangement has a sensor (15) arranged in a region of a pavement (7). A board edge (9) of a pedestrian strip detects presence of a person. An infrared movement alarm unit or a light barrier detects the presence of the person. Display or signaling devices (17, 19, 21) are provided to the person such that the signaling devices are operatively connected with the sensor. A visual or acoustic display organ indicates the presence of the person on a track (1). Display organ LED small lamps are activated as orange or red in color. An independent claim is also included for a method for securing a pedestrian strip or a pedestrian crosswalk on a track.
