PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine having sound volume setting means individually on the front face and the back face of the game machine so that the player can be prevented from hardly hearing an in-parlor broadcast.SOLUTION: As sound volume setting means, there are provided: first sound volume setting means 46 mounted on the back face of a game machine so that the player cannot set and operate during the game; and second sound volume setting means 25 mounted on the front face of the game machine so that the player can set and operate during the game. A performance control device has a function to control the output volume of a speaker on the basis of the setting by the sound volume setting means. In the sound volume setting operation by the second sound volume setting means, the sound volume set by the first sound volume setting means is made an upper limit of the sound volume which can be set by the second sound volume setting means, so that a sound volume at or lower than the upper limit can be set. In the case where the occurrence of an abnormality is detected, the abnormality notification sound is outputted from the speaker without relation to a frame updating timing. In the case where it is detected that the abnormality is dissolved, the abnormality notification sound is stopped in synchronism with the frame updating timing. |
