1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
a receiver configured to receive input of authentication information of a user; a communicator configured to perform communication with a server that performs user authentication; an image processor having at least one image processing function; a processor; and a memory storing authentication information of the user and storing instructions, the instructions, when executed by the processor, causing the processor to perform:
a selection process of selecting which of the server and the image processing apparatus itself performs the user authentication, based on the authentication information received by the receiver;an authentication process of causing an apparatus selected in the selection process to perform the user authentication based on the authentication information received by the receiver; anda permission process of permitting the image processor to perform image processing if the user authentication by the authentication process is successful, and of prohibiting the image processor from performing image processing if the user authentication by the authentication process is failed. |
