The invention relates to a motor vehicle (V) defining a longitudinal direction which extends in the length of the vehicle between a rear bumper (R) and a front bumper (F), the vehicle including an outer shell (E), the vehicle also being provided with a protective tarpaulin system including a flexible tarpaulin (1) intended for at least partially covering the outer shell (E) of the vehicle (V) in order to protect same, the tarpaulin (1) being windable about a drum (2) between a wound storage position and an unwound sheeting position, the tarpaulin (1) including a connecting edge that is secured to the drum (3) and an opposite free edge, characterised in that: the free edge of the flexible tarpaulin (1) includes at least one pulling element (13) made of a ferromagnetic material; and the vehicle (V) includes at least one magnet (4) that is movable under the outer shell (E), the movable magnet (4) attracting the pulling element (13) of the tarpaulin (1) through the outer shell (E) and driving the pulling element (13) of the tarpaulin (1) with same, in order to move the tarpaulin (1) into the unwound sheeting position by sliding over the outer shell (E). |
