PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detachably connect a cold head of a refrigerator to an object to be cooled so as to allow heat transfer at high efficiency while effectively restraining heat from entering the object to be cooled.SOLUTION: A cryogenic device comprises: a container 16 for an object to be cooled; a cold head insertion part 18 including a cylindrical portion 32 and a bottom portion 34; a thermal coupling formation part 60 for forming a thermal coupling part to allow heat conduction between a cold end 28 of a cold head 26 and the bottom portion 34; and a thermal switch 70 provided between the bottom portion 34 and an object to be cooled 12. The thermal coupling formation part 60 comprises concave and convex parts 61 and 62 on the side of a refrigerator and concave and convex parts 63 and 64 on the side of the insertion part that are opposed to them via a clearance 66, and the thermal coupling part is formed by solidification of a gaseous heat conduction medium in the clearance 66. The thermal switch 70 comprises a thermal switch element on the side of the insertion part that is provided at the bottom portion 34 and a thermal switch element on the side of the object to be cooled, and switching between permission and interruption of heat conduction is performed by making both switch elements contact each other and separate from each other. |
