PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable connector and a cable assembly compatible with a cable of a type having no ground conductor.SOLUTION: The cable connector includes: a signal terminal 10 to which an inner conductor is electrically connected; a ground terminal 11, to which an outer conductor is electrically connected, disposed in alignment together with the signal terminal 10; and two ground shells 12 disposed to sandwich the signal terminal 10 and the ground terminal 11 from a thickness direction which is perpendicular to the alignment direction. The ground shell 12 includes: a tabular main body unit 15; a ground arm 16 protruding from the main body unit 15 to the ground terminal 11 side, and contacting to the ground terminal 11 for electric connection; and an outer conductor connection unit 17 disposed on the edge part of the main body unit 15 on the cable 3 side and contacting to the outer coder 6 for electric connection. The outer conductor 6 is electrically connected to the ground terminal 11 through the outer conductor connection unit 17, the main body unit 15 and the ground arm 16 of the ground shell 12. |
