PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conversion device that reliably prevents a component member disposed therein from breaking down or a load to which a converted voltage is applied from failing.SOLUTION: In a conversion device 14, a control section 148 turns on/off a FET 141 to convert a voltage applied to the conversion device 14. If a value related to a current flowing inside the conversion device 14 with voltage conversion, that is, a voltage between both terminals of a resistor R1 is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold, a comparison circuit 143 outputs a low level voltage to an output circuit 144 for a predetermined period. Once the comparison circuit 143 outputs the low level voltage, the output circuit 144 outputs a high level voltage for a longer period than the low level voltage is output. A power supply management section 145 determines whether or not the output circuit 144 outputs the high level voltage at a predetermined period, and if determining that the high level voltage is output, interrupts a feed to the control section 148 to stop voltage conversion. |
