The present invention discloses a method for forming a cavity of a ceramic molded body by which a ceramic molded body can be manufactured to have sufficient molding density with compression and plasticization of the ceramic molded body allowed while the shape of the cavity is not distorted; and a ceramic molded body having the cavity formed by the method. The method for forming a cavity of a ceramic molded body according to the present invention includes: a step for forming a ceramic molded body that has a hollow portion which corresponds to a cavity to be formed; a step for charging the hollow portion with graphite or carbon black that sublimes at or above a predetermined temperature in a sheet or paste state; and a step for subliming and removing the graphite or the carbon black with which the hollow portion is charged by compressing and then plasticizing the ceramic molded body.
