The present invention relates to a system and a method for providing a support such that an emoticon is generated from a 3D character to be used in an SNS messenger, and more particularly to a system and a method for selecting a desired 3D character directly by a user, generating various types of emoticons with the selected 3D character, and variously using the emoticons in an SNS messenger such as a mobile messenger. The present invention provides a method of providing a social network emoticon using a 3D character, which comprises the steps of: (A) receiving and storing 3D character data selected from an emoticon provision server by a user terminal; (B) receiving a request for transmission of an emoticon from the user while the user terminal is connected to a counterpart terminal and an SNS server; (C) generating an emoticon of which transmission has been requested from the stored 3D character data by the user terminal; (D) transmitting the emoticon generated by the user terminal to the counterpart terminal; and (E) receiving the emoticon from the counterpart terminal and outputting the emoticon. According to the present invention, the user can directly select a 3D character and generate an emoticon with the 3D character, thereby easily generating and providing emoticons of various desired images. |
