The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling brightness of a lamp for a vehicle and, more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for controlling brightness of a lamp for a vehicle according to the weather. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for controlling the brightness of a lamp for a vehicle comprises a weather information receiving part for receiving weather information of an area in which a vehicle is located; a weather sensing part for sensing the weather of the area in which the vehicle is located; and a brightness controlling part for controlling the brightness of the lamp based on at least one of the received weather information and the sensed weather.
