<p>A sealing arrangement comprises an insert 3 and a complementary cut out 2 in an edge of a support rail 1 mountable to a panel of the cab or the panel itself, the insert having a hole 4 through which the cable can pass and a slit 10 joining the hole to an edge of the insert allowing the cable to be inserted into the hole. A first "U" shaped securing means 7 retains the insert in the cut out and a closure means 9a retained to the insert by link 9b. Alternatively the insert (Figs 4,5) may comprise a sphere with a partially extending split section 19, arranged externally of the cable receiving hole 20 which increases in radial dimension along a circumferential path. The unsplit section of the sphere excludes the hole and may be positioned to form a closure when no cable is present (fig 5a), rotation of the sphere from this position providing an adjustable though path with respect to cable dimensions (fig 5c). Securing means 16 may be a separate element or may the edge of a cab panel fitted above the insert e.g, a window. A drain 19b is provided in the panel 12.</p> |
