A user terminal and an image display method thereof are provided. The image display method of a user terminal comprises displaying a plurality of display layers having different depths by overlapping them with each other, and changing the depth of at least one display layer of the plurality of display layers depending on user input so as to express a physical action in response to the user input when the user input is sensed.
