PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor with improved Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) stability by having mechanical integrity between a cathode conductive layer and a conductive adhesive layer and preferably between the cathode conductive layer and encapsulant.SOLUTION: A capacitor comprises an anode 11 and a dielectric 12 on the anode. A cathode layer is on the dielectric, where the cathode layer comprises at least one conductive layer 16 and an insulative adhesion enhancing layer 30.
