<p>In this vehicle damper housing structure, a damper housing (21), which supports loads inputted from front suspension dampers, comprises: a press formed part (31) formed by subjecting sheet metal to press work; and a casting part (32) that is casted in aluminum in such a manner that at least part of the press formed part (31) is casted therein, and is secured to a vehicle body. The thickness of the casting part (32) is greater than the thickness of the press formed part (31). Therefore, by configuring portions where stress is small by the press formed part (31) and making said portions thinner, a reduction in castability caused by thinning can be avoided by ensuring the flowability of molten aluminum during casting, while reducing weight to a greater extent than if the entire damper housing (21) was integrally casted. Furthermore, shape flexibility is increased by combining casting.</p> |
