The transmission has two input shafts (11,12) that are respectively connected to a load clutch (K1,K2). The five gearwheel planes (Z1-Z5) and seven switching units (S1-S7) are adapted to connect the input shafts, an intermediate shaft (15) and the countershafts (13,14). The five gearwheel planes and the seven switching devices are arranged coaxially in the intermediate shaft for switching of eight forward gears. One of the switching units is provided to rotationally fix the intermediate shaft and the countershafts.
