PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive composition for an outermost surface of a gas cooking appliance having sufficient antifouling property, non-adhesiveness and durability, and to provide a cooking appliance using the composition for the outermost surface.SOLUTION: A composition for an outermost surface of a gas cooking appliance contains an organic-inorganic hybrid material with a three-dimensional crosslinked matrix structure having a specific structure. The organic-inorganic hybrid material can be obtained by using alkyltrialkoxysilane as a starting material.
