PURPOSE:To obtain high positioning precision corresponding to a color filter and improve the quality of a liquid crystal display device by arranging positioning means formed on a segment side electrode at the preset positions between common side electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Two notches 19 are provided on both sides in the width direction of each segment side electrode 24, the notches 19 are arranged at the preset positions with respect to the gap 14a of common side electrodes 14 and a color filter 12, thus the positioning of substrates 11, 12 in the vertical direction and horizontal direction is performed. The notches 19 form the first and second positioning regions 20a, 20b, the whole regions 20a, 20b are arranged on the preset gap 14a of the common side electrodes 14, thus the drift of the rotation direction is prevented. |
