The present invention provides an electrode assembly in which at least one cathode coated with a cathode active material on both sides of a cathode current collector and at least one anode coated with an anode active material on both sides of an anode current collector are alternately stacked in a vertical direction relative to a plane by placing a separation film in-between. The electrode assembly includes a step formed by stacking a second electrode that has a different polarity and a different area from those of a first electrode, on the first electrode, and one side of at least one outermost electrode located on both sides of the electrode assembly is coated with an anode active material, the other side thereof is a one-side coated anode, which is a non-coated portion, and the non-coated portion is arranged to face the outside of the electrode assembly. The present invention can further enhance the flexibility of the shape of the electrode assembly in the thickness direction, therefore a secondary battery further precisely matched with various device shapes can be provided. |
