摘要 Provided is a negative electrode active material of a lithium ion capacitor, which is characterized in that the active material includes modified graphite with an exposed edge surface. According to the present invention, a manufacturing method of the negative electrode active material of the lithium ion capacitor comprises adding graphite in hydrogen peroxide, heating the same, and sonicating the same. The present invention modifies the graphite by inducing etching of the graphite caused by the hydrogen peroxide. Therefore, the movement of lithium ions is facilitated through the edge surface of the modified graphite, and the graphite is prevented from being separated by forming a chemically bonded SEI layer and preventing an anion of an electrolyte from being intercalated into the graphite. As a result, the lithium ion capacitor including the negative electrode active material according to the present invention can obtain an energy density which is about 55% higher than that of a conventional lithium ion capacitor with unmodified graphite.
