PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caliper brake device capable of preventing reduction in coupling power of a guide plate and a piston.SOLUTION: A caliper brake device 100 comprises: a piston 70 which is moved back and forth in accordance with pressure within a pressure chamber 62 of a caliper body 10; a guide plate 40 supporting a brake shoe 30 and mounted to the piston 70; and a coupling member 80 coupling the piston 70 and the guide plate 40. The coupling member 80 includes tapered seating faces 81B, 83A and at least one of the piston 70 and the guide plate 40 includes tapered abutment parts 45A, 71A where the seating faces of the coupling member 80 are seated. |
