PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video display device capable of recognizing parallax images in a wide range of a diffusion surface.SOLUTION: A stereoscopic video display device 1 includes: an optical element 50 corresponding to each of n pieces (n being an integer number of 2 or larger) of parallax images and having n pieces of areas each of which is capable of diffusing coherent light; an irradiation device 60 for irradiating the optical element with coherent light to scan the coherent light on the n pieces of areas; an optical modulator 30 irradiated with the coherent light incident on each location of the optical element from the irradiation device and diffused, so as to generate a modulation image corresponding to each of the n pieces of areas, in synchronization with the scan of the n pieces of areas by the coherent light; and a projection optical system 20 for projecting each of the n pieces of parallax images generated by the modulation image with a different angle on a single surface. |
