A bicycle-stand consists of a block 1 having one or more slots 2 for the reception of a bicycle wheel, the slots having substantially parallel vertical sides and tapered ends 3, the width of the central lower portion of the slot being reduced by means of opposite upwardly tapered ribs 4 extending from the sides of the slot. The ribs 4 are of segmental cross section and are connected to each other at their lower ends by a bridge 5 extending transversely cross the slot.
