Provided are a method and an apparatus for determining cooperative units of femtocell base stations and terminal connection. The method whereof calculates an average transmission rate of a terminal by using the information about the communication status of the terminal and determines the cooperative unit and the terminal connection based on the average transmission rate thereof. The determined cooperative unit and terminal connection are transmitted to the femtocell base station and the terminal. The terminal connects to the femtocell base station depending on the cooperative unit.
