<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for recognizing user motion, and more particularly, the present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for recognizing user motion, in which acceleration data are collected through an acceleration sensor and then a user motion is recognized by using Y and Z axis acceleration data among the collected acceleration data. To this end, the apparatus for recognizing the user motion according to one embodiment of the present invention may include: a data collection unit for collecting X, Y, and Z axes acceleration data; and a motion detection unit for detecting a peak value of the Y axis acceleration data, dividing the peak value in multiple windows based on a walking period of a user, and recognizing and detecting the user motion according to a preset recognition algorithm.</p> |
