The present invention relates to a working lift and a control method thereof. The purpose of the present invention is to prevent a wire rope from becoming slack between a winder and a cage by stopping the winder when a current value is measured at a non-load state by a current measuring unit by including a current measuring unit for measuring a current value provided for a working lift for transporting freight or people between floors by the winder.
