Disclosed herein is a light emitting device including: a substrate; a light emitting diode (LED) chip disposed on the substrate; and a phosphor sheet disposed on an upper portion of the LED chip and including alignment members formed on a lower surface thereof. The alignment members contact the LED chip, such that the phosphor sheet is aligned with the LED chip.

1. A light emitting device comprising:
a substrate; a light emitting diode (LED) chip disposed on the substrate; a phosphor sheet having an upper surface and an opposing lower surface that is disposed on an upper surface of the LED chip, the phosphor sheet comprising an alignment member that extends from the lower surface and contacts a side or a corner of the LED chip; and an adhesive member interposed between the phosphor sheet and the LED chip, to adhere the phosphor sheet to the LED chip, wherein the length of the alignment member, as measured along the lower surface of the phosphor sheet, is less than the length of a side surface of the LED chip.
