A test apparatus and a test method are disclosed. According to an aspect of the present invention, the test apparatus comprises: a first variable load for applying a load according to setting; a first power measurement module for supplying power to the fist variable load and measuring power consumption of the first variable load; and a controller for performing control such that a plurality of loads corresponding to power consumption patterns in a plurality of houses during a predetermined period are sequentially applied to the first variable load, receiving each of a plurality of measurement data of the first power measurement module corresponding to the plurality of loads, calculating each of cumulative values of the plurality of measurement data of the predetermined period, and determining that the performance of the first power management module is normal when a difference between the cumulative values of the plurality of measurement data and the cumulative values of the power consumption in the plurality of houses during the predetermined period corresponding to the cumulative values of the plurality of measurement data is within a preset critical range. The power consumption patterns in the plurality of houses and the cumulative values of power consumption in the plurality of houses are at least one environmental variable among the number of residents, the presence or absence of empty rooms, floor spaces, environmental data including room temperature/humidity/illumination, outdoor temperature/humidity, date, house types, and target power consumption types in the houses, which are measured in the different houses during the predetermined period. |
