<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle approach report device which improves the workability and work efficiency during a sensory test, and to provide a control method of the vehicle approach report device.SOLUTION: A vehicle approach report device is provided with: vehicle speed detection means 8 which detects a vehicle speed of a vehicle 10; and gear-shifting detection means 6 which detects a gear-shifting operation of the vehicle 10. The vehicle approach report device is further provided with first sound emission means 2 which emits an approach report sound according to the magnitude of the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed detection means 8. Furthermore, the vehicle approach report device is provided with second sound emission means 3 for emitting a sound specifically for a test, which is different from the approach report sound, on the basis of an input pattern of the gear-shifting operation detected by the gear-shifting detection means 6.</p> |
