<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device capable of suppressing the deterioration of lubricant and improving the lubricating performance by actualizing efficient cooling.SOLUTION: A bearing device includes: a journal box 2; a rolling bearing 3 for turnably supporting a work roll 1; a tank 6 located outside the journal box 2; one-side and other-side seal members 25, 26 for sealing a space between the journal box 2 and the work roll 1 on one side and on the other side in an axial direction; a hydraulic pressure generating mechanism for causing lubricating oil existing in the journal box 2 to flow from one side to the other side in the axial direction on the basis of the rotating power of the work roll 1; an oil supply passage 8 communicating a first chamber 16 located on one side in the axial direction beyond the hydraulic pressure generating mechanism with the tank 6, and having an opening located on one side in the axial direction beyond the rolling bearing 3; and an oil drain passage 9 communicating a second chamber 17 located on the other side in the axial direction beyond the hydraulic pressure generating mechanism with the tank 6, and having an opening located on the other side in the axial direction beyond the rolling bearing 3.</p> |
