According to an embodiment, an information processing device is provided with a first information receiving means, an operating screen transmitting means, a second information receiving means, and a control means. The operating screen transmitting means generates an operating screen for operating the information processing device on the basis of the first information that has been received from the first information receiving means and transmits a video signal for the operating screen to the external device by wireless communication. The second information receiving means receives, from the external device by wireless communication, second information pertaining to the content of the operation made on the operating screen displayed by the video signal that has been transmitted by the operating screen transmitting means. The control means controls the actions of the information processing device on the basis of the second information received by the second information receiving means.
