At the end of the seal member main body (8), this roller bearing has a seal lip portion (9) where a radial edge (9a) is in radial contact with an inner ring (1). In cross-section, the seal lip portion (9) has a fishhook shape which is curved at the neck portion (11), which is the middle portion in the radial direction, so as to form an escape recess (13) on the outside surface of the bearing space, and includes a portion (9b) which extends in a folded-back shape obliquely outwards of the bearing from the radial edge (9a) that engages in radial contact. The seal lip unit (9) comprises a protruding portion (12) which has a tapered shape in which the portion distal to the neck portion (11) becomes narrower closer to the tip, and the thickness (t1) of the neck portion (11) is set within the range of 25-75% of the thickness (t2) of the end of the seal member main body (8). |
