ARRAY SUBSTRATE FOR FRINGE FIELD SWITCHING MODE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

The present invention provided an array substrate for a fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same. The array substrate of the present invention includes: a gate line formed on a display area on a defined substrate of a non-display area in the outside of the display area and the display area including a number of pixel areas and a first subsidiary pattern formed on the non-display area; a data line formed as defining the pixel area by crossing the gate line by interposing a gate insulator on the display area and a second subsidiary pattern formed on the non-display area; a thin film transistor formed as being connected to the gate line and the data line on each pixel area; a first material layer formed on the display area as exposing the thin film transistor; a pixel electrode formed on the first material layer in each pixel area as contacting a drain electrode of the thin film transistor; an etch-stop pixel pattern which is formed with an equal material as to the pixel electrode to surround a top and a bottom of the second subsidiary pattern completely; a protection layer formed by comprising a first and a second contact hole exposing each of the first and the second subsidiary pattern on the upper part of the pixel electrode and the etch-stop pixel pattern; a common electrode formed as having a number of first bar type apertures in correspondence to each pixel area in the display area on the protection layer; and a connection pattern which is formed with an equal material to the common electrode on the protection layer, and is formed as contacting the first and the second subsidiary pattern at the same time through the first and the second contact hole.
