The invention relates to a depressed floor (12) and to a method for installing said floor, which is intended for being installed in the rear portion of a motor vehicle. The floor has side edges (26, 28), said rear portion including structural elements (46, 48, 50, 52, 54) to which the floor is capable of being connected, said motor vehicle including shock-absorbers, while said structural elements (46, 48, 50, 52, 54) include anchoring areas. According to the invention, at least one of said side edges (26, 28) has a passage opening (36), and said depressed floor (12) is capable of being installed between said structural elements (46, 48, 50, 52, 54) such that said passage opening (36) is adjusted opposite one of said anchoring areas in order to be able to pass through said passage opening (36) to anchor one of said shock-absorbers. |
