An image classification method is disclosed. The image classification method comprises the steps of receiving a photographed image; performing color processing on the received image to extract a dominant hue value; filtering information on a plurality of images pre-stored based on the extracted hue value; performing matching between the received image and each of images in the information for the filtered images; and displaying the matching result.
