METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CHANGING ICON

Disclosed are a method to change an icon and a terminal to change the icon capable of checking the use of the icon by changing and displaying the icon in accordance to a usage pattern of a user for the icon related to the execution of an application. According to the present invention, the method to change the icon comprises: a step of identifying a category for a search keyword inputted to a search application; a step of counting a search frequency for the identified category; and a step of changing the icon related to the search application by connecting the icon to the category as the search frequency is satisfied with a setting value.
