<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly enhance rigidity of a steering column for tilt adjustment or telescopic adjustment.SOLUTION: A pair of clamp members 12 and 12 is provided on an inner side of a lower side outer column 4 so as to hold an upper side inner column 3, and the pair of the clamp members 12 and 12 is moved by a clamping bolt 13 to mutually approach, and thereby holding and clamping the upper side inner column 3 by the pair of the clamp members 12 and 12. Since the upper side inner column 3 is directly clamped by the lower side outer column 4, rigidity of both columns 3 and 4 can be enhanced.</p> |
