<p>Enhancing performance by selectively applying averaging to channel state information, CSI, reporting processes. According to certain aspects, a base station (e.g., an eNB) with knowledge of traffic patterns (e.g. traffic load, or fluctuations) of potentially interfering transmitters may signal a UE how (or whether) to apply averaging, for example, when reporting CSI based on interference measurement resources (IMR). The averaging may refer to one or more of the following: interference averaging, channel averaging, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) averaging, and spectral efficiency averaging.</p> |
