<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a developer adhering to the wide detection range of a developer amount detection part, while suppressing the manufacturing man-hour and manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A developing device 9 in a printer 1 includes a first stirring screw 31 stirring the developer stored in a housing 19, a developer amount detection part 34 detecting the amount of the developer in the housing 19, and a cleaning member 35 cleaning the detection surface 46 of the developer amount detection part 34. The cleaning member 35 includes an attachment part 52 formed at one end of one wire 50 and attached to the first stirring screw 31, a first cleaning part 53 formed in the intermediate part of the wire 50 being continuous from the attachment part 52 and extended to reach the detection surface 46 from the end of the first stirring screw 31, and a second cleaning part 54 which is formed at the other end of the wire 50 being continuous from the first cleaning part 53 and formed in such a manner that the wire 50 is tightly overlapped and bent, so as to be projected to the front of the detection surface 46 and have a width larger than the detection surface 46.</p> |
