The battery (10) has a battery housing (12) provided with a receiving space for a battery cell of the battery and comprising partly limiting walls (14a-d) at the receiving space in which cooling medium e.g. gas and air, is flowed through a duct element. A transfer element is provided into the receiving space at the partly limiting walls of the battery housing for transferring electric current from a power supply to an electrical load. The transfer element is electrically coupled with the battery and the power supply, and the duct element is formed as a one-part with the wall. The transfer element is designed as a high voltage (HV)-spacer.
