Disclosed are a method and device for terminal side time domain video quality evaluation. The method comprises: calculating a significant movement area proportion of each video frame, dividing all video frames into absolute regular frames and suspected distorted frames on the basis of the significant movement area proportions; performing a frozen frame detection, a scene-change frame detection, a jitter frame detection, and a ghosting frame detection on the suspected distorted frames; splitting scenes for a video on the basis of the result of the scene-change frame detection, calculating scene information weights of the scenes, and determining a terminal side time domain video quality. The present invention solves the problem in a terminal side time domain without reference technology in the prior art of increased evaluation error, overlooking of movements, and having a single indicator, increases the closeness of the evaluation result to subjective perception, expands an evaluation system for video time domain distortions, and reduces the probability of misjudgments. |
