Provided is an insect-pest collection apparatus which is capable of being easily handled by anyone, and with which insect pests, e.g. Acari and Siphonaptera such as the chicken mite and the northern fowl mite, can be attracted, and the attracted insect pests can be captured and exterminated. An apparatus for collecting insect pests such as Acari and Siphonaptera is provided with a collection part (11) having a porous structure provided with numerous holes (11h) continuing from a surface thereof to the inside thereof. The collection part (11) is formed such that the hole diameter (D) of the holes (11h) is a size capable of being infiltrated by the insect pests. The collection part (11) is provided with the numerous holes (11h) which continue from the surface thereof to the inside thereof, and which are formed to a size capable of being infiltrated by the insect pests, and thus the holes (11h) form hiding places for the insect pests. Accordingly, if this insect-pest collection apparatus (1) is positioned in a prescribed place in a chicken coop (CH), insect pests infesting chickens and a portion of insect pests infiltrating spaces between the chicken coop (CH) and a chicken cage (KG) can be collected in the collection part (11). |
