The solar system (1) has a collector box (2) with parallel-connected collector field units (3A-3F) that have thermal collectors (4) and flows liquid heat transfer medium through a solar return distribution conduit (10) and a solar outlet manifold (11) that is connected with a heat absorber (7). The distribution conduit and the manifold are dimensioned such that the heat carrier flow rate in the collector field units decreases with increasing distance from heat absorber to the collector array unit. A pump (12) circulates the heat transfer medium in the solar circuit.
