The present invention relates to an information processing device and an information processing device control method. More particularly, the information processing device in accordance with an example of the present invention comprises: a display; a screen control part for dividing a screen displayed on the display into two or more areas in any one of a vertical direction and a horizontal direction and arranging one or more icons in each area; an area determining part for receiving position information about a spot selected by a user on the screen and determining a selected area including a spot selected from the divided areas based on position information; and a sliding direction determining part for receiving direction information about a sliding direction from the selected spot and controlling the icons arranged in the selected area to move along the sliding direction based on the direction information when the sliding direction is the same as a divided direction, and controlling the icon arranged in each area to move along the sliding direction based on the direction information when the sliding direction is different from the divided direction, wherein the icons arranged in each area have different predetermined target position information.
