PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant for use in spraying the surface of organic waste, having excellent deodorant effect with reduced amount of spraying, and a deodorization method using the same.SOLUTION: A deodorant for use in spraying the surface of organic waste includes a solid organic acid and a filler having a specific gravity of 0.1 to 1, with a mass ratio of the compounding amount of the filler to the compounding amount of the solid organic acid of 0.5 to 2. Preferably the deodorant is further compounded with an oily component. Preferably the solid organic acid is citric acid and the filler is at least one selected from pearlite, diatom earth, and zeolite. |
