<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of image quality when performing a plurality of types of image deformation processing on an image.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: an image deformation processing unit for performing first image deformation processing to insert, delete or shift a pixel to an image to be processed in a sub-scanning direction, and for performing second image deformation processing to shift a pixel in the sub-scanning direction; and based on the position of a level difference in an image generated by the first image deformation processing, an adjustment unit for adjusting the position to shift the pixel in the second image deformation processing. For example, by the prediction of a level difference direction possibly generated by the first image deformation processing at a position where the second image deformation processing shifts a pixel (step S12), if there is possibility that a level difference of 2 pixels is generated at a position where the second image deformation processing shifts the pixel (step S13; YES), the pixel shift position in the second image deformation processing is moved to a position where the level difference is mutually canceled (step S14).</p> |
