<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machine for detecting fluid pressure of machining fluid jetted from upper and lower nozzles, and correcting displacement of a wire electrode according to the fluid pressure of the machining fluid, on the basis of a beforehand stored relational expression.SOLUTION: The wire electric discharge machine which performs electric discharge machining according to a machining program, while relatively moving a wire electrode 3 and a workpiece 4 supported by upper and lower wire guides 5, 6 provided in upper and lower nozzles 1, 2 respectively, and supplying machining fluid from the upper and lower nozzles 1, 2 includes: upper and lower machining fluid pressure detectors 7, 8 for detecting fluid pressure of the machining fluid supplied from the upper and lower nozzles 1, 2 during the electric discharge machining; a storage device 51 for storing a relational expression representing relation between the fluid pressure of the machining fluid, and the amount of displacement of relative positions of the wire electrode 3 and the workpiece 4; and a controller for, on the basis of the relational expression stored in the storage device 51, obtaining a correction value for the fluid pressure of the machining fluid detected by the fluid pressure detectors 7, 8, correcting a command value of the machining program using the correction value, and correcting a position of the wire electrode 3.</p> |
