The windshield wiper system (2) has two wiper arms (3,4) that are respectively provided with the wiper blades (5,6). Several nozzles (7) of a washing device (8) are supported along the wiper blades. A dual pump (9) is provided in the washing device. A washing liquid (10) is optionally fed to the nozzles of the wiper arm. The nozzles of the individual wiper arm are oriented in outlet direction at the same side of the respective wiper arm. An independent claim is included for a method for operating windshield wiper system for motor vehicle.
